What is the easiest way to find out if I have a current arrest warrant?

If you have not paid traffic tickets, or if you have even committed a crime, you may have a current warrant for arrest out against you.  In the case of crimes, you are likely to know that you have a warrant out for your arrest, but in the case of unpaid traffic tickets, you may not.

1. Contact the local police department or ask a police officer.  They have the ability to determine immediately if you are facing an arrest warrant.  They can find out for you, free of charge, but be prepared to be arrested on the spot if there is a warrant out for your arrest.
2. Contact the local court, which has jurisdiction in your case.  You typically need to give them your name, address, and license number, and they will be able to determine if you have an arrest warrant issued against you. 
3. You can utilize various websites that can give you this information, but many of them do charge a few for the information.
