  • You will be required to receive treatment for alcohol abuse.
  • You will be required to do some form of community service.
  • You may also receive probation for up to 5 years following your release from prison.

These are the minimums in as far as the punishments you will face when you are convicted of a third DUI in New Mexico. They have no minimum look back period for this crime in new Mexico.

Plea Options

You may try to enter varying pleas of guilty, not guilty or try to plea bargain. However if you enter a guilty plea you will be charged with all of the above and will need to pay all of the fines. If you try either of the other two routes, you may be able to reduce your sentence or any of the fines or probation.
