Distracted Driving Laws - Cellphone Use and Text Messaging

With the exception of Montana, all states now have distracted driving laws. Of course, the purpose of these laws is to prohibit motorists from doing things while driving that might divert their attention from the road. Thus far, the primary target of distracted driving laws has been text messaging and cellphone use. Most states have banned texting-while-driving. And growing number of states have either completely banned cellphone use or banned it for certain drivers or in certain locations.
